GIFClear is a focused browser tool for turning animated GIFs with solid-color backgrounds into transparent GIFs.
Built for one clear job
GIFClear processes every frame of an animation, identifies background colors connected to the outer edge, and writes a new GIF with transparency. It works best with white, green-screen, or other flat single-color backgrounds.
Private by design
Your GIF is decoded and processed locally in your browser. The file is not uploaded to GIFClear, and the finished download is created as a temporary local browser URL.
Clear expectations
GIF transparency is binary, so pixels are either visible or transparent. Busy scenes, photographic backgrounds, fine hair, and foreground colors that closely match the background may only be partially cleaned up. The before-and-after preview lets you review the full loop before downloading.
